can you guys give me some tips on building a 1 72 dio. useing the follow kits: revell of gemany's US parachutists and the 1 72 panzer grenadire kit, hasegawa's M3A1 half-track, two M4 A3E8 Sherman tanks, one Pz. Kpfw VI Tiger, and one Sd. Kfz. 251/1 Ausf D armored half-track, Italeri's WW2 pak 40 kit and their 1 72 walls and ruins II kit and there ww2 battlefield accessories and last but not least airfix's ruined european cafe and european coner house ruin. all of these kits can be found on hobbylinc.com except the aifix sets. the story of the diorama is that the 82 airboure divison is on patrol in france and are attacked by the germans the diorama will have a T shape cobble stone road with the two buildings at the "top" of the t. to make the layout simpler twomarrow i will post a drawing of it tomorrow. the base of the dio will be a sheet of wood with plaster of paris covering it. so now that you know the basics i will tell you what i want to know 1. how to i make the cobble stone 2. how do i put terrian into the diorama( hills etc,) 3. what is the diffrince in 1 72 scale & 1 76 scale 4. how do i make the figures have more poses siting bending over etc. thanks , nathan

LOL,

With all respect Nathan,

Why do you think that there is no reply yet?

How much did you surf this site already for the tips you asked?
Those questions are part of the basics of diorama making, they have been covered a million times over all the modeling forums and in "How to " books, so you should at least show some goodwill of your part, show some work you did, research you did , something!

This forum is great, but it can not hold your hand for every step you want to make.

Start by buying Shep Paine's book about Diorama making and then start with a dio about 80 % smaller then the one you are planning.

Oh, download Scalecalc.exe (google it) , you can exactly calculate the difference between 1/72 and 1/76

Claude
