I've seen a bunch of M1114 Humvee build reviews, completed models, etc. [which are all fantastic, to be honest] but one thing that I think has been notably absent is the Frag 5 body kit variant, or also the up-armored M1151 versions.

Does anyone know of completed builds of these variations? I got my hands on a Bronco Frag 5 kit, but alas have no build photos to help me out!

Here's their Frag 5. And as far as plastic 1151's go it'll probably be a month or two before you see any of those builds popping up here. The markings in the instructions are rather vague, your best bet is to find a picture of one you like and go from there. the ISAF, Czech and Iraqi decals are a plus too.

... the Frag 5 body kit variant...

Just to quickly note, the Frag 5 kit is only the armored doors. Each component is numbered separately. Bronco appears to have applied that moniker because its the kit people commonly seem to refer to the whole armor package as. In the picture above, the rocker panel armor and door framing (also painted sand) is actually the Frag 1 kit. I'm not sure whether the Bronco kit supplies the armored wheel wells that would also be fitted, which is the Frag 2 kit.

You're asking for M1151 build
The two Bronco kits are M1114 Hummer w/wo Frag 5 armor kit.

The M1151 transformation kit is only available by Legend if I good remember and this transformation kit is for Tamiya M1025 humvee.

Salut Pascal

So it's too late for this (from Wikipedia)

"Hummer was a brand of trucks and SUVs marketed since 1992 by AM General when it began selling a civilian version of the M998 Humvee.
In 1998 General Motors purchased the brand name and marketed three vehicles: the original Hummer H1, based on the Humvee, and the Hummer H2 and the Hummer H3 models that were based on other, smaller civilian-market GM platforms.
The last Hummer rolled off line at Shreveport on May 24, 2010."

Thanks Joe, duly noted. I had not realized this as I'm still a relative newcomer to the realm of modern armor.

@Lucas Thank you! That is terrific info, where did that image come from? It's gorgeous, whoever's work it is...

No worries, the world of these armor kits is pretty obtuse.

Here is a good thread to start in and you should also check out HMMWV in Scale.

Already I've learned a great deal about all this business, all this info is fantastic

I've seen some Humvee's in the field with ECM dome antennas, but they seem to be relatively rare. I'm not sure what the difference is between that and the DUKE systems that seem to be more widespread, especially in the modelling spectrum. Anybody know the difference in functionality or even amount that were issued between these two?

Many thanks

The Duke and the Chameleon are both CREW (Counter Radio-controlled IED Electronic Warfare) jamming devices (please don't ask me how they work ). The Chameleon (with the dome antenna) is a USMC device, and the Duke is its Army counterpart.
