Who makes the best WWll version M26 Pershing - Hobby Boss?? And are there any issues that need to be addressed?

HobbyBoss is a very nice kit to start with; just take kitno. 82424 leave off the turnbuckles for the fenders, shave off the reinforcement ribs on the drive housing and leave off the infantry telephone on the back and you are well on the way!
There's a rudimentary motor compartement, so with some extra detailling you can open the engine doors as well....

I think all 3 need a little work to make an early M26. Dragon, Tamiya, and Hobbyboss. I have all 3 I'll take a side by side look and get back to you later today. The Pershing is one of my favorites so I stock up.

This may be nit-picking, but I checked out Hobby Boss's Pershings and wouldn't the T26 E4 (#824428) be most accurate for WWll?

HobbyBoss.
Dragon's turret is bulbous, Tamiya's gimmicky suspension is toylike even showing a metal screw.
On the downside, the HB strip tracks are disappointing, you should replace them.

OK... so I got HB's 82424 M26 as it's probably the closest to what I want, but then I found out it has the wrong tracks (double chevron) so I'll have to replace them with Friul all steel tracks, which is no biggy since I probably would have had to change the tracks anyway. But HB did not include the canvas weather cover between the mantlet and turret which most, if not all, T26's in the ETO usually had installed. On that subject, very few, if any, model manufacturers include this canvas even when the vehicle always had them - this is something they should take note of. Does anyone make a resin AM piece for this for the M26, or will I have to make one from putty?
