Hello Gents!

Just picked up a Tamiya Universal carrier kit, but it does not have instructions (hey, $5.00, open box, all sprues complete... what can i say?!?).

Does anyone have a instrcution booklet you can share/scan/email?

Also, any good detail set out there for this model?

Thanks in advance!!

I have the Tamiya Forced Recon version of that kit close at hand. I know I have the basic kit stashed in the basement as well but then I would have to open up about 10 large boxes of my model stash!
I'm scanning the instructions and will post shortly.

Will check on the resicast stuff, James; anyone in particular you recommend I can get it from at a good price?

Dave, thanks a million... will await for your email then.

Thanks!!!

Hobby Search has scans of instructions from a couple of boxing:
- "Forced recon" #249
- "European campaign" #175

In addition to Resicast's resin ones, Model Kasten does a set of injection moulded individual link styrene tracks and white metal drive sprockets.

So what's the difference between the regular UC and the 'forced reconaissance' UC? The choice of figures? I've seen pics of knocked out UC's at Villers Bocage mounting a .50 cal and a long stowage box across the front of the vehicle - this would have been a more interesting variant, although easy enough to create yourself.

Yep, to my knowledge the difference is just the figures and marking options [ #249, #175 ]
Although the North Africa commander and driver figures are not mentioned on the instructions of the 'Forced Recon' kit, there still included as they're on the main sprues. These two chaps, shown on the 'European campaign' kit instructions: --click--
