I see the announcement, several places on the web, of DML's 1/35th scale kit of the Japanese amphibious tank Type 2 Ka-Mi. Apparently they went to Pelelu and photographed the derelict one sitting there since the war. It is minus the floatation tanks that go on the front and rear of it. Thier box art for this kit (no. 6678) is a photo of that tank at Pelelu. I wonder if the kit is going to be minus the floatation tanks like the box photo shows???? Anybody know for sure. It will be of less interest to me if these are not included in the kit and a poor marketing move by DML to not have them in the kit.
Years ago the Japanese Armor King site on the web announced he was going to do this vehicle in resin. However, the site does not look like it has even been updated in years and next to nothing is listed there as even being in stock. So, I gave up on ever seeing this AFV from them.
Please send any info regarding this to my e-mail address and not here on the forum.

Thanks in advance,
Ray

Box art at PMMS states no floatation gear. Speculation is that a later release will have it. Probably several aftermarket sets as well. Unless it is priced out of sight, I will still be happy to get one. Maybe the Peleliu US Marines will come out at the same time.

Hopefully it won't be molded as "distressed". Of course we do have a "Knocked Out" campaign coming at the end of the year in case it is. I am amazed and happy that they will actually be producing it.
