Dear Fellow Modellers,
I have a problem, and I have decided to raise it to the international level
In a nutshell:
I have recently bought an 1/35 MAZ-537 Last Production (01006) and I would like to build a Hungarian vehicle. But for that, I would need the engine cover ("engine bonnet" according to the instructions) from the earlier kit, named MAZ-537G Late Production type (00212).
This is a single piece, the one in Late Production is longer, because it includes the cover for the fuel cells.
Could anyone please be so kind to make me one or two resin copies and send it to me (possibly from Europe)? Of course I would cover the costs.
My email is: [email protected] but I will check the forum as well for answers.
Thank you ver much!
Regards,
Adam

Hi Adam
I checked my stash
Unfortunately me too I have the last production kit so I can't help you
I hope you'll be able to find someone who can help you, but if I were you I'd do it by myself
II understood in a right way, in my humble opinion it will be rather easy scratchbuild the engine "bonnet". After all there are just 4 flat sides with chamfered connections and also details are easy to depict. You can take some of them from the part which you already have
Just my opinion
I'm sorry, have a good luck!
cheers

Thank you guys!
But the problems are:
- in this case, the absence of the engine would be evident
- Hungarians never used them without the cover
So still looking for that copy...

Adam

Adam,
It looks like you could just cut of the rear section that covers the fuel tanks or do you then still need to make the "wall" between the tank and engine?
Gr,
Marcel
He needs the longer hood, or to be exact, he needs the rear part of the bonnet which cover the reservoir

Adam
I've found this pic
As you can see it's a Hungarian Maz 537 last production type
I don't know if you've solved your problem, but if your goal was to represent a Hungarian exemplar, this may be a solution
cheers
