I note that Masterbox have updated their web page with photos of the box artwork for this new set, hopefully this means that they will be released soon. I do hope this time that the figures will turn out to be as good as the artwork. The last set of modern US Figures didn't fair so well in that front.

i saw that on the site to, but the box art doesn' t match the figures as the sniper in the art is stand alone but the figure has him leaning the rifle on another guy

I saw the box art got really excited...and was disapointed cause the figures did not match the art AGAIN We are all going to have to do a lot of modification to make these guys look like the box I want to use them with my Trumpeter M1117 but there is no release date

My question is why is Masterbox having this problem with modern military figures? They do a good job with their WWII figures...

I disagree, the boxart, referance pic, and figures all look about the same to me. It just looks like the builder placed the figures so it looks like the sniper is resting his rifle on the other guy's shoulder. I think he could stand alone just fine.

I have to admit, those figures do look like they would go great with an Abrams or humvee.

Hell even the National Guard M249's in 2004-05 didnt have that old buttstock and forearm configuration (only saw that with Marines for some reason). The helmets dont look right without the NVD plate, and no one I knew wore the throat piece. The ACH's look like someone just cut off the brim of a PASGT.

It was my understanding that those were test shots and not the final product. Perhaps Jim could shed some light?

Matt, the last time MB sent in some test shots the production version of the set looked exactly like the test shots, though there was quite a lot of constructive feedback on gear, poses, weaponary ect.
anyway, I'm looking forward to getting this set. looks like the first injection molded figures with actual trouser pockets on their pants. speaking of pants, IMO it's a real quantum leap that their pants are sagged... I can still remember those old tamiya figures wearing 'BDU-leggins'... just my 2cents worth
Cheers, Max
