Hi every1...
Here in Norway we can get hold of Johnsons floor polishes. They aren't called Kleer or Future but have different names. This confuses me since there are two distinct types: One for synthetic flooring and one for wooden floors (laqcuered). Which one is best suited for modelling use i.e. clearing up transparencies, glosscoating?
Thanks for any advice.....

Hi grenade welcome to the site.
Dont know the answer to your question, but i use Klear and on the bottle it states that it is used for ceramic tiles, sealed wood and cork, linoleum, thermoplastic flooring and vinyl tiles.
Thats the only info on the bottle which might help you.

First of all welcome aboard Grenade. To answer your question also in Italy we can get hold of Johnsons prods, but unfortunately they do not import Klear/Future down here. You can have a look at the Johnsons website in Norway and ask them if it's available there. Otherwise if you know people going to the UK ask them to buy you a bottle of Klear, it's not flammable or dangerous so it can be transported on planes...

Hi there Grenade,
One thing to remember is that Future/Klear or whatever? isn't a polish. It's actually a very thin acrylic varnish.
If you find out what your "local" name for the product is, make sure you let everyone know, because this could be a great help to other modellers in mainland Europe. :-)
All the best
Rowan

Thanks for the replies everyone. Trying to deduce from your answers it seems most likely that the one for synthetic (plastic) flooring is the closest.

Welcome to Armorama Grenade.
In my country the name is Glo Coat and in other countries I supose there are a lot of diferent names. The important thing is that it has to be acrylic shine for floors.
