I have this piucture from Frenchy of an M1126 in Afghanistan that I am using as a base for a AFV M1126 Stryker build.
Does this have the spaced armor on the sides? The shadows are thowing me a little bit but I can see something under the stowage racks. It doesn't look like the Eduard set, though- seems to have a few acess holes cut in it, just not one
What is shown in front of the armored exhaust cover- an anti- IED decvice or some sort of mirror? Anyone have a better picture of it?
For the rest of it, I think I can tell what after market items I need...correct me if I miss anything, but I see
-Driver Enhancement armor (bought a set from Real Model)
-Tire fire suppression system (RM)
-Blast panels that are different from what Eduard sells (scratch)
- I am guessing there is a mine protection kit under the back side (scratch)
-also guessing slat armor on rear door
-Duke (Legend)
-an electrical slave cable on front drivers side. Scratch
-drivers window- Trumpeter
THanks guys...sorry for all the questions

Hi Jason
I can send you this picture in Hi-Resolution if need be (just PM me you email adress).
I believe it's another jammer antenna. Here you can see it fitted to M-ATVs (from Flickr) :

Here's another Hi-Res Stryker picture that may interest you. This one belongs to Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 5th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division ( Argondob, Afghanistan, November 3rd, 2009).

Another Hi-Res side view here (you may have it already) :

In this picture and in the one I've mentioned in my last post you can see that these Strykers are both fitted with an external fire extinguisher in the rear. I'm almost sure some close-ups have already been posted here, or maybe on ML

As far as I can tell, they've kept only the rear part in the last picture. Here's another Afghanistan picture showing the same configuration :

Just pick-up the variant you need

Thanks Frenchy- those are a couple I don't have. Looking at the first one, it doesn't appear to have the additional armor so that protruding plate on the one in the original post must be something else..
The jammer looks fairly easy to make
Anyone make 35th scale Ghostbusterslogos?!?!?

Yes, these are the blast plates spaced armor used under the slat. The kidney shaped panel beside the driver is not mounted in the A-stan photo. Here is a close-up of one at the NTC between Iraq deployments.
Eduard sells the blast plates separately.

Nice- thanks. I was having issues picking armor out in the right side pictures so it made me question the left side pictures. Now I get it!

Hello,
I can tell you that some PE parts for the IED Device on the front side are in the TFSS Kit from Real Model (Mounting). There are also two resin parts mentioned in the kit, but these are missing in my kit.
Also I got the inforamtion from Miloslav (RM Owner) that the MPK Kit will be released very soon. So you don`t have to scratch it.

That's good news. I'll save the Mine Protection kit for last, then. I didn't realize the mounting was in the TFSS kit- good news too. The less I have to scratch, the better.
