While on another forum, I asked a guy serving in Iraq right now if he had any pictures of Iraqi ASV's, namely the APC variant as that's what I am currently building. He responded with these. This is a new one on me, I've never seen one like this. Thought you guys would like it, he also has pictures of M1114 uparmored HMMWV's in this white and blue police scheme.

Is that an old SGM on top? Couldn't make it fit in the turret? I wonder if there's some law preventing the sale or distribution as aid of lethal weapons to national police forces. This seems similar to the cases of HMMWVs for the Afghan National Police, where the vehicles were also supplied without weapons, leading to similar ad hoc solutions.

It sure is. However, when my ANP got their 114 frag 5 trucks last year, they came with DSHK's. I know they got the weapons from the Ministry of the Interior though. Never been to Iraq though, so I don't know how it works there but in Afghanistan PKM's were the norm with DSHK's and 14.5 KPV's and of course RPG's common as well. Hell my guys had an AT-4 (Soviet, not American) anti tank missile launcher and missiles...

That is the colors of the Iraqi National Police vehicles. Theyre gaudy as hell. I was there last year and they have a mish mash of vehicles from this ASV ( I swear I saw this particular one) to things like BMPs and BRDMS.. and yes.. blue and white paint!!! I'll see if I can drag up the pictures.

I'd LOVE to see those.
Please dig them up and post them here.
I gotta work through these old DML kits before Trumpeter renders them(more) obsolete..

I just bought a house and I think I lost some of my pictures when I moved hard drives because I can't locate any of the HMMWV pictures, sorry, if I find any I'll post them.
