Thanh,
If you use an airbrush, you MUST try Vallejo acrylic primers. These are outstanding primers that are available in the standars grey as well as brand new colored primers available in:
German Red Brown
USA Olive Drab
German Dark Yellow
Russian Green
German Panzer Grey
German Green Brown
Standard Grey
Take a look at http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/gb/index.html for more information and the full list of acrylic products from Vallejo

I second the recommendation of Vallejo acrylic primers. The standard primers come in white, grey, and black. Then there are the new primer/base colors. Excellent products!
The Vallejo website has a button for English. Colorado Miniatures carries the entire Vallejo line here in the States. Their customer service is fantastic.

If you are buying the Vallejo primer then try and get the 200 ml bottle it a lot better value.

You could also check you local Auto Parts super store for acrylic primers as well as acrylics are now used in the car industry. In the UK Halfords Primers are recomended more times than Vallejo for model priming.

Finally purchased a bottle of Vallejo grey primer. Would like to know what you all use to clean the airbrush up afterward ? Just plain water or some other brand of acrylic paint thinner. Thanks.

Than,
I personaly use Vallejo Airbrush cleaner cut 50/50 with tap water. If the brush needs a real thurough cleaning, I will use the airbrush cleaner straight.

Who carries the primers in the U.S., Matt? Couldn't find them in Colorado's Web site. Been looking for these myself...

While not in the US (in Canada) I do carry all the primers in the 60ml bottle.

Currently out of white at the moment, but all the other colors are in stock.

I agree that the 200ml bottles are a better value, and I would probably carry the Grey, Black and White in those sizes as well if my suppliers would bring them in.

Only thing about getting them from me at the moment, Canada Post is set to strike at midnight tonight (barring a last min. agreement) so mail service from Canada is going to be null and void for who knows how long. Great to be a small business owner that depends on such a service!!

Thanks for the links, Thanh! I've dealt with Brookhurst in the past and did not like their service. However, they seem to have improved their image (at least based on the Website they have). I'll give 'em a call.

Does laying down a primer really important before shooting Vallejo Model Air, for example? I ask because, since I don't have any of the Model Air paint, I'd like to know how it behaves without a primer...
