i have aquestion. would this tank have ever had a winter wash? i really want to try out a winter wash and i have this kit with alot of aftermarket and i thought i'd try it out. but i thought i'd ask if it had winterwash before i went any further. thanks ahead.

They saw extensive action on the eastern front during the winter of '43/
44. There is a picture of one of these babys on the bottom of page 17 in Squadron's Panther in Action. Turret number 511.... nice winter white and all.

HI. From what I've read, it's only during the last winter of the war that a lot of the vehicles didn't get the whitewash, due to a lack of supplies. But up to that time they did get their white colorings during this time period. And if you wanted to model a vehicle during the winter of '44-'45, you could use the white wash if you wanted, because I'm sure some of the vehicles did get it, to a limited extent.

If you need me to just come up with an answer, I would vote for 5th SS Wiking, they have tons of Panthers, and always fought in the eastern front. They must had some white washed panthers.
Besides Wiking marking is cool. And they prolly the only SS formations that didn't really do anything nasty in concern with killing POWs or Civilians.
