While looking for something different to work on, I found the Trumpeter Chinese DF-21 Missle launcher at the bottom of my pile and thought "Why not". So if this has already been answered, please bear with me. The instructions say the color is "Olive Drab", or whatever they think is olive drab. So what color would be a good starting point for this kit? I prefer to use Testors/MM enamels, but would consider others for a good match.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

From pictures I've seen, looks like Tamiya Olive Green lightened with a little Buff, maybe 10:1 might do the trick. Olive Drab sounds too dark/brown to me.

Thanks for the info, sounds like a good starting point, I agree about the regular Olive Drab.

I have seen photos of these with turn of the century 3-4 colour camo.
I believe the Pakistanis use this system as well.
In ModelMaster, 50:50 Euro Dark green and Forest Green, lightened with Radome Tan as required, for the basic Chinese version.
