Hi, Lads !!!

A long, long time ago, in a Galaxy far, far away, I buy an AEC Dorchester ( from Panzer Resin Models ) in 1/35 scale.

This vehicle is awesome...

His robust style, typically English, always caught my attention...

And as I suspected that Large Companies do not inject this beauty, I ended up buying two of these girls ...

One, I build as Moritz, DAK, OOTB...

But the color and thickness of the sheets never satisfied me ...

But as I had another kit in the box, always promised myself that next, I would build better...

My intention was to build the "snouted" version of Dorchester, improving resin kit with some scratch ...

The construction began three months ago, and the whole thing was this:

But once I started building the new kit, more and more imperfections in the old kit (Afrika Korps) was bothering me ...

Result: dismantled the beast!

My wife nearly fainted on seeing the kit in my bench, dismantled...

(I'm a lucky guy: my wife loves my hobby ...)

When she asked why I had destroyed "...a kit ... so cute!", I responded with the bold slogan:

"Who dares wins!!"

I confess: I spoke in loud and clear to me calm, too ....

ehehehehehehehhehe

But since the thing was done, we face the stones ....

Improving the Moritz:

Side by side: Moritz and " future" Snouted:

Making the nose:

The canvas part was made with vegetable-paper:

The Snouted have a Big Nose, now... (and curved back..)

Beer cans are fantastic ... serve to kill the thirst and provide excellent photo-etcheds ...

Primmer:

...and the colors...

The Moritz was fully documented, although the exact color shade of Caunter cammo are a big mystery to me ...

I'll confess something that will make the purists 'eyes widened...

I have no patience to the "accurate" colors ...

FS standards, RLM, SCC and other complicated classifications make my stomach sick !!!

I think life is too short for these "complications"...

For me, the kit color being similar to the original colors, I'm in heaven.

I want is to have fun!!

Well, after this catharsis, let´s paint the AEC´s...

The Snouted was based in this profile:

But I did not have details of markings for front and rear...

So, a great colleague came to my rescue, with photos of the true Gen. Mackzec´s comand car ...Marek Jaszczolt save the day !!!

Thanks, again, Marek !!!

He posted those photos to my relief :

The two Girls, side by side:

I think it was worth it ....
Before:

After:

Well, Gents...

That's it !!!

Sorry to post all at once and so many pictures, but I was excited about the project ...

Best of all, I discovered another AEC Dorchester with a colleague ... and bought it!!

And it will be built like this:

Mr. Churchill´s cab !!

But this will be another story ...

Regards...

if you painted in pink it would look like an enormous pig

Joking aside, your paint job and your skill got incredibly attractive even an ugly vehicle like this one

Congrats and many thanks for sharing
