This is an original sculpture, except the machine gun, helmet and water bottle.
Started in milliput standard and continued in sculpey

The inspiration comes from this picture

Great sculpting, and great use of the photo as reference. Smart and unique scene.
The only nit-pick I have is that the injured shoulders appear quite healthy ... wide shoulders and proud chests. Body language doesn´t properly convery that fact that they have been taken prisoner and are injured. Still miles ahead of anything I could do!

Thank you to all

@Karl N. Hoy: Sorry, this project was started 5 years ago and I do not have many pictures of the progress.
Here are some

@ Frank Glackin: I desired to represent the arrogance of the elite troops, same wounded and captured.
If you analyze the photo, the English are neat in their appearance, hair and other, which nothing in common with the captured soldier

Finally, I am sorry for my broken English

This is very cool and coming along nicely. You are correct about the Brit Paras. I was always impressed by the German Newsreel showing the POWs being led away and one of the Paras flips off the camera man as he walks by! Priceless! It was not a defeat just,"Mildly Perturbing". Classic British.

Wonderful work so far! The sculpting is first class and its a subject very close to my own heart-my Grandad was captured at Oosterbeek! He has told me many tales about his capture and I am very eager to see your work completed!

Thank you!

For me I finished the project.
In a few weeks everyone will have the opportunity to do his own project, using their figures, they will be available from Résicast

Hi Gerard,

Excellent work. Graham sent me a sample of the bodies last week, the detail and casting looks terrific.

You've captured Milner and Harding really well.

I think the words should be pride and esprit des corps within a unit. I have seen many pics of captured German soldiers that have similar expressions and looks, I think in Arnhem the situation was not so much a feeling of being defeated but that of having been screwed and let down by Monty and his great plan. The top people knew what was there and what they were dropping AB troops in on and realistically they performed well above what could have been expected of lightly armed and poorly supported troops.
