Does ANYONE make an aftermarket track for the Tamiya M3 Halftracks?? After spending a load of time to super-detail a M-16 Quad .50 track I am still stuck with the most awful really stiff plastic bands of junk every produced.

Thanks for your help.

Someone (Tank Workshop??) makes a resin correction of the suspension to include the tracks. No AM tracks by themselves as far as I know.

I looked into this awhile back for my M21, there are options out there somewhere, but I can't recall who specifically does/did it. Maybe a search of this site will turn up something. I do recall it being discussed somewhere within the past year or so.

I have a couple of the TW resin track sets. Though I haven't used them, they look like an improvement over the kit vinyl parts.

I have used the Tank Workshop set and am pleased with the results the set provides. I know that K59 set looks nicer but have been concerned with what the Tamiya tracks would do to the resin set.

IIRC, the tracks on these vehicles were essentially rubber clad with no links or metal showing under normal conditions. They presented as a continuous loop similar to the belt drive on a Harley rather than a Honda's chain.
