I finally completed my M151. A departure from my normal M113 family. However, I needed it for a diorama idea I have for several of my M113's. It is the old Tamiya model, and is built basically out of the box with a couple of modifications. First I added the "Dog House" enclosure to the trailer that we all had in Germany. Along with that I added an extra fuel can to the rear of the trailer. We always had the rear side curtains attached to the vehicle. We did use the doors, but mostly in the winter months. Since the kit only has the roof , I had a time trying to come up with something to simulate the side curtains. I finally hit on the idea of a piece of heavy plastic bag (the type that spreads and sheet sets are packed in at stores). After masking for the windows, I painted them the same color as the roof and used photo etched buckles. I was very pleased with the results.

A man after my own heart!
Very nice work on the MERDC. I like what you did with the trailer. Adds a bit of individuality. When I added side curtains in my Pack of Mutts (tm) I used tissue paper soaked in white glue for the curtains and plastic for the windows. This gave the canvas a bit more texture and let the plastic look that semi-opaque look of plastic convertible windows.
The passenger feont tire looks like it could have used a bit more sanding along the midline. Otherwise, it looks great.
