Hi guys, I decided to build a dio using the old Tamyia 232 armored car for the new Under the Sun group build. Its a pretty old kit with 1974 stamped on the sprues. The instructions are all in Japanese but the build is fairly easy if you have any experience at all :-) The second shot shows the base I will be using and 2 days worth of work and a rough mock up of the layout
Working title is "Happy to be alive ". Will keep you posted Don

Pigpen, Only about 4hrs on the 232 so far, its really an easy staight forward build. as far as the figures go I always keep alot of primed figures ready to go. (see pic below) I build them while waiting for things to dry

Dear Lieutenant, Sir,
I am a lowly PFC, but wouldn't a bit of elevation variance add some interest? Even in the desert, the landscape is not really flat. Do a diorama of Western Kansas. Now that's flat!

i do the same thing! I have about 100 figures around at all times, and another 20-30 special figures that I save for particular schemes I plan in the future. I've got about 50% in resin, but have really become a BIG fan of the DML series of figures.

Jan, I 'm married to a wonderful woman who enjoys my hobby and supports my plastiholic addiction. In fact we just had a recent anniversary and her gift to me was $100 gift certificate to my favorite hobby shop. Don't get me wrong though she will give me hell if I'm inside sprinkling snow when I should be outside shoveling it
