Hi all,

I am building a 1/6th scale (RC) PzIV Bruckenleger (Bridgelayer) but have been trying to work out how this works, just by studying various model builds, photos ect. Now all show differant layouts of the cable routes, can anyone throw some light on this?

Now I have been in contact with Krupp themselves reference blueprints/drawings but they replied informing me that they were not taking on any archive searches now or in the near future but at least they had the manners to replie unlike some.

As for the state of the model it is running around as a short barrelled Ausf F at the moment and will be on show at the Tank Fest at Bovington (UK) this year as it was last year. Now why a bridgelayer some may ask? Tanks tanks everywhere but not alot of engineer/recovery vehicles so also in the process of a build is a 1/6th Maz 537 transporter and possibly a VT34 recovery all in 1/6th RC and fully working.

So back to my orignal question, Just how does the bruckenleger lay its bridge??? Your ideas please.

Thanks

Chris

Hello Chris .. Trumpeters verison of this machine will give you all the help you will need ..the bridge can be built either for the transport mode or the deployed mode ,,shows you where the cables go and how they work ...this won't be a simple thing to do but mate it will be a real beauty when its done .
