Is that slat armor and standoff armor package for the M1131 the same as for the M1126? Reason I ask is that ive acquired some sets of Eduard slat for an M1131, but would rather use it on an M1126. From looking at pics online there seems to be no difference at all, the only difference between the two vehicles seems to be the antenna array, lack of hatch behind the driver and of the course the cupola with the LRAS3, therefor I assume the slat is the same?

Hi,
M1126 & M1131 slat armor the same. Only differences in the distribution of the top bracket on the roof.

Distribution of top bracket on roof? Could you elaborate a little more? From what I can see the brackets are spaced exactly the same on both vehicles.
Ive just realized though that my plans will probably fall through because the slat and blast panels are designed for the Trumpeter M1131, and presumably will not fit the AFV Club M1126?

Rob, there are tabs on the roof where the support brackets attach for the slat. On the RV one or two on each side of the roof are just a bit different in location. It is no big deal. I just snipped the tabs and relocated them where appropriate. The bolt heads on the kit help figure out the location of the tabs. For instance, when you go to mount the tabs on the slat kit you will be instructed to shave off the kit bolts - because the tabs replace them.
The result will be that some support arms attach to the tabs. Bolts will go on top of the support arms where they meet the tabs. Other tabs do not get covered, so the shaved off bolts will need to go ontop of those tabs. In any event, as I noted, the kit bolts help guide where to put the tabs - and the Eduard instructions show that as well.

From perthmilitary AFV Club M1126 Preview:
"Obviously a comparison with the Trumpeter kit is inevitable and I will include side by side images to show the differences as we go along but the most noticeable difference is the variations in sizes of the parts. The main hull for example sees the AFV Club hull 5mm longer yet 2mm narrower than the Trumpeter hull with many other differences in hatch sizes and hull contours."
