Great to see this review Bill. I have to admit that I've become quite the fan of Canfora's publications. And I have no intention of selling any of my kits, books like these are part of what have inspired me to pursue the hobby

Thanks, Jeremy. I can understand the "buzz" around this book now that I've read it cover-to-cover. Forty-five clams might seem like a lot for a soft-cover book, but I think you'll find it's money well-spent.

I'm a huge fan of Canfora books... high quality models, high quality pictures inside very fine books.

I dont mind seeing how the "titans" work, it helps me learn! I dont get jelous, My goal is to keep learning (and buy more tools)

I can see this book fitting rather nicely on my bookshelf. Is this the only one (Panther) or are others expected? If they had one for the sdfkfz251 I'd buy it straight away.

My favourite tank, and I quite agree with the opinion that it was one of the best tanks, if not the best, of WW2. I have made many Panthers over the years, starting many years ago with the Tamiya Panther A, and will happily make more - there is at least one in my stash at the moment.

Certainly the standard of Panther kits has improved dramatically over the years, and hopefully books such as this will help continue the improvement. I only have one plea - will somebody PLEASE release a decent Bergepanther??!

I don't know the answer. I'm sure it will depend on how well this one sells whether they do a companion volume. But you're right about the 251 being worth a book on its own.

I ordered and received my book from Historex Agents along with the AFV Photo Album,two great books,pricey but I decided to treat myself.The only problem now is that I want to throw all my models out and quit seriously,there is some fantastic work on display,and some good background.

My only complaint with this book is that there isn't a companion volume getting more into the build details, especially on some of the amazing painting and weathering on display. I would cheerfully cough up the price of this book just for a step by step book on Lester Plaskitt's Panther alone! That said, what a unique approach to a book. It almost makes me feel bad for being the opposite kind of modeler who is happy if their camo pattern is broadly accurate and the rest of the markings are at least in the correct language. . .
