Hello guys, this is a small project just to practice color modulation and wash for future projects.
It was assembled in one day completely oob i only remover one Schurzen on each side for more variety on this.

One question, were there ever Jagdpanzer's painted only in dunkelgelb?

Sincerely,Sven.

Hello Sven

I'm no expert on the topic, but have checked some reference books

Panzer Colors II has a colour plate of one of these in plain Dunkelgelb (though it also has Zimmerit paste applied). This book also has a Black & White photo of the same.

Encyclopaedia of German Tanks has a few photos they all appear to be Dunkelgelb though with B & W photos its not possible to be certain, due to dust, light conditions, etc.

Wydnawictwo Militaria 150, Jagdpanzer IV, has colour plates of this type in dunkelgelb, with and without zimmerit, though the one without zimmerit is described as a pre-production series, Germany 1944.

Looks like most had more than one colour applied, and most had zimmerit.

But looks like you would be safe to go just Dunkelgelb, and no zimmerit.

Hope this helps

cheers
Neil
