Hey all,
I know this might not be the right place for this post but, does anyone know of manufacturers (besides Mig) that makes 1/35 scale futuristic figures? I have an idea for a new dio set in late 21st century US and don't know where to begin to look. If anyone knows of a good sci-fi modeling site, that would be great too. Thanks.
Dan

Hi Dan,
I can't think of any 1/35 scale figures off the top of my head, however, if you're looking for ideas, you might try starting here:
Games Workshop Warhammer 40K
Although these are table-top, 28mm figures and vehicles, I think with some ideas borrowed from the WHK40 designs, you could modify available plastic 1/35 scale figures to come up with some that will fit your "vision." Heck, some of the WH40K plastic weapons and accessories, which are a bit "large-ish" anyways, might look in scale for your 1/35 figures.
Also, you can follow some of the links on the WH40K pages and "fall down" through a "rabbit hole" of table-top wargamming sites that have tons of "futuristic" ideas. There are also several other future infantry-armor games (like Starship Troopers) that might also give you some ideas.
Some very cool stuff. (shhhh... Don't tell anyone, but I've got a couple of armies of my own, and we "roll the bones an' toss the stones" here from time to time when we're not building "real" armor models... )
HTH (and good luck!),

None of those are terribly futuristic, even the Gundam Hard Graph figures don't seem too far removed from the late 1940's.
Just of note, the Dust resin figures are top quality so if you are interested in them they are certainly worth the money imho.
