Well, I'm callin' it done. It's Italeri's Opel Blitz with a Verlinden cargo set. I made textured mud for the lower parts of the truck and replaced the fender markers with wire. Some of the cargo are resin copies that I cast at home. I left the tires a little shiny to simulate mud that's still a bit wet, and it looks more shiny in the photos than they really are.

Looks really well Grifter. I built the maultier half track some time ago and enjoyed that a lot. Love the cargo as well. Look very realistic. These opels were real workhorses and got a a lot of abuse. I respect you want to call this finished, but I personally would weather ths a little more ... especially the wooden doors. Paint fades and wood is easily chipped. Those doors were probably flung open manys a time and would have had all imaginable damage!
This does not retract from your model though.... just my personal taste. Everything looks really well done, and is a fine model as it stands!!

Grifter,
This is awesome demonstration of your great painting skill, and weathering. I like the subtle weathering.
I also kinda agree with Plastic a little, a little more chipping will make this piece more attractive.
But heck, this is a real fine model!

Very nice truck Grifter, it looks very realistic. The part I love all of it, specially the gear inside the trunk.

Greg:
Congrats on completing your model for the Barb Campaign. Your Opel looks good, with a realistic cargo load.
Well done sir!

Looks fine. My only thought would be that fresh, wet mud might be darker, but that's bsaed on the kind of mud we have here in Massachusetts.

Very good example. The mud looks very convincing and the fading of the paint is right on.Bravo. Cheers.

Grifter,
I agree with the other posts here. This is finished and a fine job of work you have done too. I think the weathering looks just right - well done :-)
