Smart. We all find little tricks that make life easier. I use short lengths of 2" x 1" timber with aligator clips and tooth picks to support pieces. They dont take up much room when left to the side. I even double up some painters masking tape and set the pieces on the tape to hold while painting. How each piece is held depends on what it is.

Very smart. I am going to try rigging the clips to the hole in my Tamiya paint stand. It comes with spring clips but, I find them a little too big for some things. Thanks for the tip.

Used the stands for the first time and they work pretty good. Funny thing is I used them more OUT of the stand just holding them in my fingers and then putting them on the stand to let the paint dry......The lazy susan holds about a dozen testor bottles of paint comfortably around the rim and still leaves enough work area for all your tools and such... I really like it!!! The price was the best !
