here is my first diorama since i came back to scale modeling.
I tried to show two same Tamiya jeeps (1/48° scale) in two differents versions with some figures.
It takes place the 12th of september 1944, when advanced elements of the french General Leclerc' second armored division (2°DB in french) wich landed in Normandy, met advanced element of the first Free French Division ( the exact unit was the first regiment of naval fusiliers, our marines !) wich landed in southern France in august (during the second day of the operation Dragoon)
The meeting tooke place in Bourgogne, a land of good wine ...
For this first dio, i experimentated Milliput to change GI's helmets for French headgears; And then, i made my first own figure (In Milliput ), a french civilian bringing a bottle of good wine !
There is also little scratch with the radio and the aerial of a jeep (from wich i removed the machine gun) and the front of the other one.
The painting is to brigtly so one day i'd have to change this...
