Hello everybody, after shopping and wondering around for a while I just got my brand new PACE paint booth, specifically the Super Mini Plus model. Here a brief review.

The shopping process was a little bit cumbersome. I contacted the toll free number on their web page http://www.pacepaintbooths.com/pace/, a very friendly guy answered and took my order. Expected arrival date was about 5-6 days from the ordering day. I waited for 4 weeks with no notice.......
I finally called back and apparently my order was misplaced, after this call the paint booth arrived at my house today, only 4-5 days...so shipping does work great if your order is placed!

Once you open the package, everything is neatly packed with bubble wrap paper. The air extractor/exhaust fan comes aside on it's own box. No instructions provided for assembly but pretty straight forward, basically you unscrew four screws, place the exhaust fan and screw it back again in place.

I was ready to turn it on and a soon as I flipped the toggle switch, it broke
and honestly speaking I am not that strong......after all I do scale modeling for exercise.....sigh....anyhow since I have been waiting for 4 weeks know I wasn't planning to contact PACE back and get this part replaced or fixed, after all I have a couple of Tiger I's waiting for their paint coat in the production line.....
I took apart the toggle switch box, just unscrewing 2 screws and took out the toggle switch:

Since I was very impatient to see if it actually will turn on I went to my local hardware store and got a stronger metal toggle switch for about $6:

Then, replaced with a new toggle switch:

Finally, I was able to turn it on and it does appear to work great. I still have to buy some ventilation duct and a window fitting to place the exhaust, but this will come in the next part of this review.

Also, before I leave, I noticed a couple of screws on both sides of the booth and I have no idea about what role do they play???

I hope this review helps, after all it appears to be a great product but I find a little bit frustrating having to wait for so long and go thru all this to get it working.
Will see how it goes once I start painting some kits.

This does not fill with confidence in their products and knocks my faith in "with pride in the USA".

Maybe I just had really bad luck...

Anyhow, do you happen to know if those screws on the sides serve a purpose or they can come out??

Thanks for the honest review, warts and all, Mirko! You're a stand-up kinda guy to give it to us straight.

I agree with Darren, though. Dispite Jon's positive report, the company and product line doesn't fill me with confidence.

.500 might be a decent baseball batting average, but I want a whole lot better than that when dealing on-line / over the phone with a company. A 50-50 chance that I might get a lemon or usable product isn't a bet I'm willing to take.

Repeated calls to make a purchase, unservicible merchandise, and required self-repairs just to make the thing work are "un-sat" in my book. Pace Enterprises ought to doing Cheeta-flips right now to make things right and try to restore their reputation.

I'll definitely assume a "squat-hold" position IRT Pace and their spray booth.

What kind of a window fitting did you wind up getting for the exhaust, and where did you get it?

Your honest review sure doesn't speak well of Pace which most likely spent more money on their logo emblem then on that plastic toggle switch. I'm sure the unit wasn't cheap, so there is no excuse for them to use a plastic toggle that will surely break over time, rather then a metal one that will last a life time of use. To me that indicates that they could have taken that approach with everything where there was a cheaper, alternative part. Couple this with the "sorry, but we lost your order", just doesn't make any sense. It's a company that doesn't sell in volume. How can they loose your order? Seems more like they didn't get around to building it on time, or were waiting for parts to build it.
