Hi guys
Here is may latest diorama, depicting the crew from 11ACR taking a break under the tropical heat. The figures are from Academy, Belgo, Tamiya and Verlinden. The trees are scratchbuilt. As always any comments are welcomed

what I love about this diorama is looking at the many familiar accesories and figures and seeing how you have used/ posed them. Every detail I am mentally checking off in my head which kit its from etc and its great to see them assembled together. I like the leaves fallen from the tree - a great detail often overlooked.
That red sand of vietnam is so signature to that conflict....
A great diorama. Thanks for sharing it. I have enjoyed looking at it.

Thanks for the kind remarks. I am a bit dissapointed with the construction of the leaves on the tree, where upon close up there are a lot of gaps that should have been filled (first attempt). Hopefully with a bit of practice the next tree will be an improvement

Looks great. Nice use of the M113s. My only concern is that the afv crewman probably wouldn't be wearing his helmet.

Looks great. I like the dust on the vehicle. The leaves look strange , but you can always re-do them. It's not over till its over. I add to and re-do some of my dios all the time. I'll bet I am not the only one. ..............

Guys
Thanks for the feedback
Al - thanks for the encouragement. I do intend to re-do the leaves by using a different method, perhaps wire wool and more shades of green instead of hemp as a base and mixed herbs for leaves. I have to say that the diorama smell more like Italian than Vietnamese

Hi mojo,
there's a lot of good in your diorama!! Congratulations.
Regarding the tree I can only second you in the intention to use steel wool for the tree canopy! And if you do, make sure to take the coarser one!!!!!
For these trees I used steel wool and commercially available flocking (leaf scatter) (from Noch, Polák, o.s.) over bits of real twigs
they are part of an aluvial forest terrain for a napoleonic demo wargame I held at the Austrian Army Museum for the bicentennial of Aspern-Essling.
