I have been using Dragon figures for years and their quality just keeps improving. However, there is what I consider a chronic problem with them. When I arrive at the stage to add ammo pouches, bread bags, water bottles, mess kits, etc., I have to cut and/or dremel away offending body parts so that these pieces will sit realistically and not 'float' on folds of bulky clothing which I find annoying and time consuming (especially on German figures). Maybe Dragon could release a figure set with these spaces molded in for the equipment and see how well they are recieved. Maybe some modellers enjoy the versatility of placing equipment where they want and would rather do all the cutting work themselves. Maybe, with slide-molding technique, they could mold the bread bag, water bottle, and mess kit as a single part. They could even mold ammo pouches to the body and do a better job of it than Tamiya ever did! What say you?

Biggles, I am in the middle of a Dragon figure marathon. You have hit the nail right on the head ! All the carving and sawing is a big pain in the butt and did I mention time consuming ? Dragon could do a bread bag, canteen & mess kit all-in-one and sell it just by itself to retro fit older kits. Gen 2 weapons with PE slings too ! Come on Dragon !

I have a couple of their earliest German figure sets. The equipment is shaped to the body contours in them. It is the newer "improved' releases that have the flat equipment. Many of the figures I have are unfinished because of the fitting issues.

I'm not against this, it builds character. Besides it's easier to customize their figures.
I think Lion Roar did 1/35 webbing ages ago.
