Hi Sven, I don't know if some italian garage factory has already done a P-40 set, I'll check for you.
Anyway I hope that could be useful for you

I'm sorry but think that unfortunately there are no extra set for this tank
I'll check also on my modeller magazines, but I'm almost sure....
Anyway, you are skilled enough to do a stunning job
cheers

Brach Model makes two sets that will improve the detail on the running gear (the most effective fix in my opinion is a correct N in the name Ansaldo). The problem is that Brach Model can be difficult to find with regular merchants and the sets do not come cheaply. If you go that way you might want to consider fixxing all the bolts and screws that Italeri messed up. You may also wat to consider getting a straightjacket - I know I forgot to order mine .
Take a good look at some walkarounds and decide if you want to go the easy way or go mad
Best of luck to ya

Even if you don't superdetail your P40 it's going to look pretty good OOB. Not a lot of people are going to be able to notice or pick out any accuracy issues, just something to consider.
Friulmodel also has a set of working metal track links for the P40.
If I get the chance, and that may be a big if, I'm just going to patiently rework some of the details from scratch.
*and thanks Frenchy for saving me the work of putting up a post asking for references. Big help as always my good man

Thanks a lot guys, this is going to make my job a lot easier.
I think i will try to scratchbuild the parts, cause 30 EUR seems a little bit too much for suspension parts.
Von Hegest-Do you know what number this set is? i can only find L 40 tracks, are they the same?

Yes, now I've found it.
Brach models. Yesterday I visited its site but, I don't know why, I haven't found P-40 sets
BM 055 Tracks & Drives sprockets
BM 056 Wheels carries & Springs
Brach models products are quite expensive but the quality is incredibly high. Their resin sets don't have flash or bubbles and are very very crisp. Accuracy is perfect
However, you're right Sven, spending 50€ just to imrove a model, maybe is too much indeed
Friulmodel track. The item number is FRIATL100:

Mauro's all over this one!
I wouldn't mind getting my hands on those Brach models upgrades, but we don't have any dedicated retailers that I'm aware of over here in North America.
Those look like they are clickable tracks if I'm not mistaken?

Hi Jeremy, sorry for the delay in my reply
Yes they must be workable tracks. I'd like to be more exhaustive but although I'm Italian. I don't like at all the ww2 italian tanks. On the italian modeller magazines I read all which I've known about Brach products. If I know something else i'll tell you for sure

Italeri and tamiya made some joint ventures in the past. That could mean that probably Tamiya will re-box the Italeri P-40
cheers
