Hi all, here is my ongoing build of the SUPACAT ATMP used by the British Army. Full scratchbuild in 135th. Several WIP's of the chassis so far....

Well fellas, the wheels will be fully scratchbuilt. Here are a couple of progress shots of the tire and rim.
This is made from several laminated styrene then turned and shaped accordingly. The size of the rim and tire dimention are taken from Supacat website and technical data. Rim itself came from my spare box. I have to do another one for the left side because the tire pattern follows a specific thread. I still have to add the thread pattern then cast it.

not sure when they started, but they have a couple of Jackals and a Coyote listed.

Terry, AA had the Coyote and Jackal and this is also made by the SUPACAT company.

Ok guys I have managed to finished the difficult Simex all terrain tyres for this build. It was very tedious and small that it took me almost a week to fabricate the whole wheel and all the tyre treads and I have to make both the left and the right side. I will cast the right side to make 3 wheels and same with the left. This will serve as my master to cast endless wheels for several version of my build.

Thanks guys. If I'm successful in casting this I will try to do a full resin kit and if loads of guys wanted a copy then I might do a production run. I will be at the MAFVA this coming June if time permits and if I'm able to finish this i will have some copy available up for sale.

Thanks Nige. Tire tread are done free style using the laminated styrene as a guide.

I just can't stop looking at those tyres. I did a bit of scratchbuilding in my life, but this is out of my league.
