Hello all. I came across two Dragon kits with a 3---- kit number. I have seen 6 and 9 numbered kits but I am unfamiliar with the 3. Can anyone please explain to this kit numbering dummy, where the 3 series fits in. And your opinions of their quality. The kits are Sherman M50 and M51. Any good representations of these Shermans out there? Thanks-C

I believe those particular kits fall in this range:
1/35 MODERN AFV SERIES
3535 - M1A1 AIM
3536 - M1A2 SEP
3538 - UH-ID HUEY
3539 - M51 ISherman
3540 - UH-1N "GUNSHIP"
3542 - UH-IH HEER
There are also kits in the 3501-3534 range which have been "transferred" to the Shanghai Dragon label
3501 - T-72M2
3503 - BMP-1
3505 - T-80 w/ERA
3506 - T-80 MBT
3507 - T-72M2 w/ERA
3508 - BMP-2E AFGHANISTAN
3510 - BTR-70
3511 - BTR-80
3512 - T-8OUD
3513 - BRDM-2
3514 - BRDM-3
3520 - SS-1c 'SCUD B' w/MAZ-543 TEL
3521 - ZSU 23-4V1 SHILKA
3523 - M270 MLRS w/M26 ROCKET PODS
3524 - M1A2 ABRAMS
3527 - UAH-6J LITTLE BIRD 'NIGHTSTALKERS'
3531 - USMC M1A1 ABRAMS (HEAVY ARMOR)
3533 - 1st Marine Tank Battalion, Baghdad 2003
3534 - M1 Panther II Mine Detection and Clearing Vehicle
The 6xxx kits are WW2 (39-45 series) and the 9xxx kits are the "Imperial Series" - kits which were originally either partly or wholly tooled by other manufacturers (eg. Gunze Sangyo - Pz.III/IV families, Italeri - Sherman family) and reboxed/retooled (in parts) by Dragon.

And if your talking about the figure sets the (3) designates the Veit Nam sets such as 3302= navy seals, 3308=N.V.A. Sapper team, 3311=U.S. Helicopter crew, etc.

OK Thanks for clearing that up. Now, are the 35xx series kits as well made or detailesdas, say, the later 63xx or 64xx sries Dragon? I know that is open to opinion, but generally speaking. I am refering mainly to the M50 or 51 in 35xx series compared to an orange box M50. Thanks again.-C
