Just a quick additional point about this set.

When I had originally compared the original Tamiya road wheels with the new Mouse House Enterprises road wheels it appeared that the hub bolts had been redone on the resin road wheels. I have been informed by MHE that the bolt detail was not redone on this set (MA142) of road wheels and only on the sets for the Italeri/Revell-Germany Leopard 1s (MA143 & MA144).

I guess I will chalk up what I thought were improvements simply on the superb casting skills of MHE!

Can't you get the same effect with a knife and a little effort?

I don't know, can you? I have seen what appears to be the simplest modifications of parts be bypassed by modellers who don't want to risk damaging parts.

The damage on the MHE road wheels extends further than just chips and nicks. Some of the damage shows exposed portions of the actual curved road wheel surface. This is very tricky to do with a hobby knife....and very realistic from my experiences on real Leopards.

I guess that would make a difference. I didn't get that from the photos. Sorry.
