Hi all,I'm working on the HB Boxer MRAV,very well kit,the only negative side is that the kit is based on the prototype of the vehicle that is really different from the pre-production and production batch.
I'm re-building the shock absorber and the smoke dischargers...referring to the smoke dis. I've noted that they are different from the ones in use on the Leos' or other IFV.
Do you have pics of the Boxer with the smoke dischargers empty!?I see from pictures from primeportal that there are two rubber caps, but how it works?!If I want to depict an empty smoke dis. do I need to do a simple empty tube?!or what?!
Do you know if there are upcoming AM avaible for this boxer kit in the next future?!
Thank you

Ciao Ciro,

DEF Models announces a set of Boxer wheels for later this year. I pre-ordered a set of wheel for M1151, and I wonder how good their quality is.

Hi Ciro,

from what I heard, Revell did their research directly at the Krauss-Maffei-Wegmann factory in Munich and even may had access to the production drawings.

We`ll see in September or October.

Jon,

after I finished books about the ATF Dingo 1 and ATF Dingo 2 I currently work on a book showing the four German versions of the Fennek but this one is planned for 2012. You can already find some photos on my website www.tank-masters.de

Regards,
Ralph

Thanks Hans!
I've already looked at this page, and found useful references, but what I am looking for is some pic of the top of the vehicle from the outside, to clarify the hathches layout and position. I'm trying to modify a bit the plastic kit to get something alike the service version, and the only photo I found is from the inside, the one in the page you point

Hello guys,
I looked at the two sites-Master Tank and Panzer-Modell, and I must say great photos
but unfortunately completely missing the picture above, a real shame
Then the photos are a small to see fine details

for the curious here is a photo of some of my old Fennek (it is the last month)
now they are already far ahead, I'll just have time for more photos

good weekend

General note to operational Boxer:
For all who are interested in the Boxer, take note that the vehicle has been handed over to the Bundeswehr Infantry Warfare school in December 2010 and the offical handover to the troops was in June. Only a few selected people have seen and photographed the Boxer `til today. I hope I can get to a serial Boxer soon and my camera will glow red hot at that occasion.

Is that a Fennek in 1/35?! Will it be released as a resin kit? If so, great news! I'd preorder it now!

Ciao Fabrizio,

let me correct you. There is a company in Germany that produces a finished model of the FENNEK. It is called Y-Serie and is normally producing die-cast models of Wolf, Dingo and Iltis. They also announced a resin(?) model of the Mungo for fall 2011. The problem with the Fennek is it`s expensive (about 80 Euro) and some details are a litlle bit heavy. I bought me one but I consider giving him a total makeover when I am in the mood some day
Here is the URL http://www.y-serie.de

Cheers
Hans-Hermann
