Hello all,
Does anyone happen to have a photo of a Famos engine? I would like to add some detail to my Famo engine as it will be exposed when built, but at the moment I can't seem to find any good reference pictures.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
Robbo

Guys, it's always a good idea to think about purchasing a book with what you want.

Nuts & Bolts vol. 12 is devoted to the Sd.Kfz.9, and has all the close-up photos of detailing you could want. The Sd.Kfz.9 is often called the FAMO because Fahrzeug- und Motorenbau GmbH (FAMO) of Breslau was one of the companies that built it, but it was also called der Bulle ("bull") since it was the largest & strongest of the half-tracks in Wehrmacht service.

Bill,
While it would be nice to be able to buy books for whatever I was modelling at the time, this is another expense i can't afford. It is getting more and more difficult to get models at a reasonable price and although it would be nice to have a book, what is the need when the web has so much.
I di a search myself and wasn't happy with what I found that is why I asked if anyone had any references (for which I am grateful for the replies).
Cheers

Robbo, I would be remiss in my role as an editor here not to plug the many fine books out there. I see modelers who will drop hundreds on kits and next to nothing on reference. Not pointing any fingers, but if we don't support the publishers, there won't be as many photos on the Internet, since many of them have been copied (illegally) from books.

You can see how sometimes there's literally NO INTEREST in books reviewed here. But the latest model kit will get so many hits it will make your head spin. It's a bit depressing at times.

Here endeth my lesson.
