Hello All,

I am piecing together a "Porsche" King Tiger turret, just dry fitting the parts. From a top-down perspective I noticed that the mantlet and barrel appears slewed to the "left" side by one or two degrees. No matter what I do, I can't get it to appear straight.

Is the "Porsche" turret barrel supposed to appear this way by design? Perhaps it is an optical illusion from the way the turret front is shaped?

ALSO, I noticed in this Armorama Feature picture:

Notice the entire mantlet piece of the Bovington Porsche turreted King Tiger being "twisted" a little to the right along the center axis of the barrel.

What gives?

Thanks!

@centurionmkv- Y.C.,

Ignore the Bovington Porsche turret mantlet. It's a museum vehicle and the mantlet is not placed on correctly. As far as the barrel is concerned it should be straight although the barrel is not centered with the turret. It is off center to the turret a few degrees but it points straight out. The rear hatch wall on the turret should be at 90 degress to the gun.

As we can't see what you are describing to us it may be easier with a photographic?

Hope this helps,
-Eddy
