...definately a rather unique and nifty looking ASRV...the XM800. A six wheeled articulated, 20mm canon equipped scout vehicle that I do believe one of the kit makers should mold. Its got chunky lines, a remote engine, HUGE tires, and a neat lookin turret. COME ON GUYS, spread the word, we (I) need something "new" for the summer break...too hot for this 'ol builder to venture outside, so I need a fix...!!
Cheers all,

It would probably be a resin kit, unless we were lucky enough to have a company such as Trumpeter surprise us with one in styrene out of the blue.

Well, from a purely selfish standpoint , it seems about time that one of the so-called "mainstream" producers get in on the act of making some of the more "esoteric" stuff, so us guys with slightly thinner wallets can get our mitts on something other than Stugs and Shermans...NOT that theres annything wrong with Stugs or Shermans...its just that I have enough o those to sink a battleship..!!

TEXAS...YIKES...! No kiddin, you ARE a looooong way off mate...! My trouble is, they keep puttin out kits I thought I'd never see, and just as I start to think I will get to buildin...darn if they don't bring out 'nuther one...!
If you add up the kits, PE, resin, decals, tools, paints, and a gazillion drawers and shelves I build in my woodshop to hold all this stuff, a battleship would be too small...!!!
Someone once said... "Live long...Build 'em all...!" Hell, I'd have to live till I'm 108...and by then, MAYBE we will have ALL the Panzer variants molded...
Cheers, talk to ya soon, and have a GREAT day tomorrow,

I hear ya. On top of that whenever you decide to take the plunge into modifying an old kit to bring it up to standards someone announces a surprise release of that very vehicle that's top notch in quality and detail
Let's keep our fingers crossed for some interesting quality and affordable stuff like that 6 wheeled recon car
Cheers Hermit, and have a good one

Man, that thing looks like the bastard child of an M8 Greyhound and a Gama Goat.

I can't help but think of a Greyhound myself when I look at this vehicle. I think that they redesigned it as a fully tracked vehicle minus the independently moving front segment.

Hey Guys I'm thinkin there HAS to be some plans out there that a modeler could get his mitts on and take a deep breath and scratch build this sucker...no..?
I'm gonna make this my "Search for the holy Grail" sorta thing. That is until some well informed military type tunes in and tells me I'm barking up the wrong sprue, and I'd be better off scratch building a 1/1 scale Godzilla...!!

Ya, I hear ya. Tell you all what...the first bloke that finds some decent info on the XM800/Twister series plans, scematics, whatever, that will help me with a scratch build, and I will donate a custom made hobby knife of the builders choice in either Padauk, Red Oak, Purple Heart, or Cocobolo...!! Hows THAT for incentive...?
They take a standard #11 Xacto style blade, and are hand polished to a nice semi-gloss sheen.
Let the search begin...
