good to see Mikey and bobby are finished, but I am much more intrigued by the 1:16 SAS man. Like how he has the leather jerkin and M1 carbine. One question though: shouldnt that beret be more of a beige colour?

Thanks for the kind words, guys.
As for the beret, I've seen both red and beige.
Not an expert on this subject, though.

The SAS definately wore para berets in WW2. I'm not sure when the beige beret was adopted, they may have been some crossover..

ok,so a couple more guy just standing there.
I might get some harse feedback about this, but lets see some action Alpine!!
No disrespect, but how many figs are you going to make just standing there doing not much of anything?
I love your quality and detail, but poses are limited.
Knock our socks off with something REALLY spectacular!!!
I for one have been waiting for this!!!
Again just my two cents

The SAS definately wore para berets in WW2. I'm not sure when the beige beret was adopted, they may have been some crossover..
The SAS at first had white berets but they abandod these very soon because they were to provocative to Anzac troops.
Then the berets became the famous sand colour until januari 1944 when the maroon beret became the standard.
Some older personel kept wearing the sand coloured berets so you are free to paint the beret as you like.
The head with the service dress cap can only be used in a post-war scenario because the metal cap badge was used from 1947 by the TA 21st SAS on service dress caps, on the maroon berets they wore the Mars and Minerva badge until 1948. from 1948 onward the winged dagger was worn on the berets.
Cheerio, Arno
