I know this topic has been asked numerous time but i can't help deciding what color to go with. I read on several forums to see what color(s) and option(s) other modellers are using : from Tamiya Buff, a mixture of Buff and white, MM Sand (FS33351) to own personal mixture. I understand there is no standard color so my question to all : if you are painting your M1A2 in Iraq theater today, which color would you select ? Thank you in advance.

Thanh.

Hi Thanh,
Buff and some white generally does the trick. I'm pretty sure other members will give their own feeling about the tan paint.

I use the Testors Model Master Sand (FS 33531) exclusively for my modern US sand models. It is the closest out of the bottle match to CARC Middlestone as used on modern US vehicles.
