Good Morning, guys!
Question.. what can I do to lighten up a nice faded OD finish that Future application has completely darkened, short of respraying the OD sections again?
Can I use the dot filter technique, and if so, what colors would you recommend for this?
Also, any other sealing technique that will not fade the colors so dramatically? This is killing me...
Thanks!
Jorge

In general all gloss cote will darken the paint cote. When you spray the flat cote, it will turn back to the original hue. If you want to do the oil dot technique, I believe it's best done on a semi-matte surface or even entirely flat. The paint then absorbs into the coat and gives off different hue. For and OD coat you could probably use lighter shades of green, yellow, white and brown to depending on whether you're doing shadows, highlights etc.
