Hi Folks well I have finally finished the display model of a GMC-CCKW water tanker in disguise. This one has been built twice as it had a major accident and did not like the sudden stop.

It is an Italeri Kit 1/35 with Eduard PE. The access hatch to the MG is scratch built along with the MG mount itself. 50cal MG and gun ring are Skybow. Back tarp is Heller GMC with Tamiya hood bows added to a scratch built frame.

Fantastic job. I really like the dash and steering wheel. One question though, are you sure they had a wooden steering wheel? A very unusual subject. Well done Cheers.

Very NICE!!!! I like the weathering... Looks very convincing. I especially like the seat in the cab...

One small thing I noticed is the rust colored wash on the rear tire. You might want to take a brush dipped in thinner and dab that off the tire... it looks pretty red.

Overall a very superb build!

animal the early hardcabs had a three spoke wood ring steering wheel while the later versions had a 4 spoke bakerlite ring. I have seen both on both versions so they did get replaced every now and again

the red on the rear tyre tread is a dark brown pastel. It does look very red in the pics though.
