Hey everybody I want to do a modern stryker in Afghanistan but I have seen three versions. 1. With cage armor........2. with no cage armor except for the back......3. and finally is a stryker with this RPG Net.....Does anybody know what the correct version is or can every version be used for a certain time period If anybody knows it would be a wealth of knowledge

The picture with the net is a rosomak from poland. I only know pictures from strykers with slat and without.

The RPG net is definitely the new wave, replacing the slat armor. If not already fielded, look for it soon for all Styrkers

The US program investigating these things is called RPGNET, and is being run by DARPA. The picture on their website shows primarily the HMMWV, but you can see a Stryker in the background with some fitted as well. I can find some pictures of these being fitted in the field to US trucks, but I'm sure more digging would turn up more instances and different vehicles. These are relatively recent, so its also something one might expect to see more of in the coming months.

Well, I suppose the first fact is that the vehicle in your photo is [b]not/b] a Stryker.
According to the article its a Polish version of the Finish Patria APC.
