Hello
I wan't make a Hobby Boss WMIK in Iraq with upgrades and crew. I found a picture of BlackDog products but I don't know if are olso propper for Iraq war or only for A-stan. Maybe I should use Legend's upgrade set and crew for D-Toys?
I can't recognise type of body armour. Is it Osprey mk-4 or later type?
Thaks for help
Chris from Poland

The Blackdog set is okay for Afghanistan but it will not represent an up to date vehicle as the WMIK has gone through a few changes with the latest RWMIK having an Auto box and different internal fittings.
The Blackdog set is okay but dont fit the arial boxes to the wings as the vehicles with the Blackdog details set would have Bowman Radios fitted.
The Bowman arials were different.
There are plenty of pics on the net but if you get stuck then ask as i have about 300 pics of WMIK,s through there different upgrades.

You need to pick a specific time in Iraq you want to depict. Most of the details, including the wheels, on the Black Dog and Legend sets are not appropriate for Iraq up through at least 2007, maybe later. Actually, do not know if many of these details were even used in Iraq. Those sets are really designed to bring the Hobby Boss kit, which mainly represents an "early" type, standard, generic WMIK up to "modern day" vehicle standard Afghanistan. These vehicles are constantly changing; the best thing to do is find a picture of a vehicle in the time frame you want and copy it as best you can. Body armour on Black Dog figures is also for more current time frame--after at least 2006. Again, find a picture you and stick to it as closely as possible. The one set I would advise getting is Legend's weapons upgrade--it is good for all time periods!!

Where did you find the Black Dog crew? I'd like to buy them.
I'm modifying the Accurate Armour Jackal Crew to fit now.

Hey Rick,

I did the same with the Jackal crew before the BlackDog realese.A bit of modifying is needed such as the gunners lower torso has to be removed and straight legs put on,but they do work. For BlackDog go to UMM-USA.com.Go to resin kits and open the list for them. They are reasonable, fast dlivery and in the states.I thought about Firefly ,but found them very expensive.

Tom

Just checked.Actually go to armor accessories.

Just a problem with the Blackdog upgrade set. The wheels are wrong, because the old type of tires is fitted on the recent rims.
