Hello guys.
This is my part of total tamiya campaign, but i'd like to get more comments/critiques so i decided to post it here to.
So,its tamiya's M1A1 with few scratchbuilt items,Eduard photo etched set and eureka XXL tow cable (which i still haven't got).
I was going to use the Rb model barrel to,but the hole trough the smoke evacuator isn't drilled in the middle.
So,i have started with the turret first.
The turret is on about 85%,on this pics about 60%,i will have some more pics taken soon.
Ok,on to the pictures.

Kind regards,Sven.

Nice start Sven. I like the clean job on the anti-slip coating.
Keep on posting.

Wow ! Great work on the turret. Can you please describe what you used to create the anti-slip coating ? I will soon be working on my M1A2. Thanks.

Hello Thanh,sure i can.
I used Citadel color roughcoat (warhammer range) spray.

Then i took out my hobby knife,a metal ruler and some tamiya tape.
I have cut it in small strips to protect all the weld beads, than i masked other areas that aren't under antislip with Mr.Hobby Masking sol neo.
Applied the rough coat and after 30 min. took all masking tape/masking sol neo off.
I would recommend Maskol from humbrol, but i dont have it currently,so i used the Mr.hobby one.

Kind regards,Sven.

So here are some new pics.
The groundwork is more-less complete, some small rocks and trash to be added.
This will be more less the final look + 4 figures (two civilians walking on the sidewalk and 2 guys in the Abrams)
For the crew i wont be using the figures from the kit,but a little bit newer figures with IBA wests donated by ma friend MarioK.
Now im back to PE parts...

Kind regards,Sven.
