Also, would anyone happen to know what markings it would carry? I found some info on a unit that deployed them near Grozny but I can't seem to find that anymore

From what I've seen, I like the two tone over the solid color. The only reason I went with three was the photo I'm basing it on.

There were few BMP-3 early models in Grozny in 1995. They were deployed in hospital complex and a lot of them were destroyed there too.
You are right, I know only few bw pics of BMP-3 in Grozny. As another vehicles during that campaign, they were painted green, three tone camo was not popular in that time
but my next question is about the green. Is it 4B0?
In this forum or the Missing Link one i save a scan of a russian book that show clearly a pair of BMP3 one in all green , the other in 3 tons in first war.
So the two options are right.
I'll build mine with the 3tons camo...
