Yes it could, be used, but it would have to have some minor updating. A unit built bustle extension would be the first thing I'd do, but not all units are using it so that is an option. I have some pics if you need them.

I am not sure how to replace the "mushrooms" on the blast panels but I think they need to be replaced to show them blanked out. You will also need to buy or make some IFF panels for the sides and rear of the turret and the ID panels for the front of the turret. Then you will have to come up with massive ammounts of stowage to add in, but that shouldn't be too hard, right? I think the only thing left would be the unit ID numbers.

Thanks Rob I checked on the eduard site and they amke the panels in question as add-ons.
Going to use the AFV club tracks think they work? BTW did pick it up yesterday ripped the plastic off the box and fingers are itching to get at it. The lighting holes are the big mistake do you know of any aftermarket ones?
Those panels could also be made of sheet plastic strips now on to roof ID panel?

did find this site for some photos have not looked at Rob's motorpool but I remember I think he has some also.

I also have some pics:

If you want to make it really accurate, there are lots of things you will want to add. Another good thing to add would be the springs that hold the fenders down. The Eduard set has some brackets that go on the fenders that the hold down spring attaches too. If you look through my pics you will see that there is a track link connector on each of the hold down springs. This is so that when the tanker wants to hold it up, he just wedges the connector between the fender and the hull. I will write more later but work beckons.

Sgtreef,
You might want to check out a set of "Armour Track" treads for this kit. They come with resin sprocket wheels which have the correct lightening holes in them. I don't have any experience with these myself, but I have heard they are very nice. I am currently assembling a set for the Challenger 2 made by Armour Track and they look great, no ejector pin marks (unlike the AFV set which I have used) and they go together easily. You can find them at Discountmodels.com. (no connection, just a very satisfied customer)

Holes are there to allow mud to escape and prevent the mud buildup from causing a thrown track, not for lightening the tank. A solid sprocket carrier would be preferable since it is easier to to drill out the holes and shape them with a circular file than to correct the incorrectly shaped holes.
