Looks an M3 or M5 US Army halftrack to me, but I am no expert either. It also looks like they added the "pulpit" to the left front roof and it is too big.

I believe it is an M3 I think the M5 had more of a squared off type of fenders I could be wrong The M5 was an export version during the war As far as that armored pulpit,it was probably made for the movie The M3 didn't have that on as far as I know But the M3A1 did

Looks like its an American halftrak with a 50. cal in some kind of armored turret. Its actually a nice truck, I would like to build that!

Nico,
as far as I learnt on Armorama, the chassis should be definitely the one of an M3A1 (Half Track - not to be confused with the M3A1 Scout Car made by White) because it has kinda rounded fenders. For the rest I cannot be more precise, but I'm sure that there will be lots of fellas out here ho can help you. I remember I had a chat once either with Keenan or Kencelot and one of them gave me lots of precious hints...

generalzod:
thanks for the nice words about my Centauro. You'll find all the building story of it
here. I built it for the "Cold War Cook-off Campaign" and you can find all of the pics here.
If you need more help about the kit availability and the problems it has got, pse do not hexitate to PM/email me.
Ciao
Kencelot

That there my friends is a mixed up vehicle. It's neither an M3 nor an M5. An M5 had rounded corners on the bed. The M3 had square corners. You can just notice the rounded corner on the front of the bed below the M49 gun mount. The M3 had rounded front fenders while the M5 had flat fenders. This vehicle has rounded ones. Looks like they put an M5's bed onto an M3's chassis. With the addition of the M49 gun mount, the M3's or M5's became M3A1/M5A1 respectivley. Another odd thing is the placement of the M49 gun mount. I've never seen one not over the passenger's side of the cab. This one looks like it's mounted only over the front corner of the bed. Very odd indeed.
