Hey, currently on my work bench I have a 1/48 Tamiya British Universal Carrier. They say Tamiya dark green on the box but I'm not convinced that's the correct pigment of the British armored vehicle (as it is too dark to what I have seen). I sprayed a 1/48 cromwell with model master medium green which turned out great when weathered.
But the question remains, what camo scheme did the British use from 1944-45?

Alex: All depends on the vehicle I suppose. This is the late war camo for the 10HP Light Utility Truck (also from Tamiya in 1/48 scale). I used Vallejo Model Air US Dark Green (FS34097 which is actually called Medium Green) and Model Air Black for the camo pattern on this, with markings for NW Europe in late 1944:
Looked pretty close to me, and not "too" green.
Hope this helps.

Let me know how it works. I've got the same little guy in my stash. Thought about putting the pair together in a little diorama I'm planning out. Glad to help.
