I have recently heard that Testor's Model Masters Acrylic Flat Clear is suppose to be dead flat. So I thought I would give it a try, thinned with a little Tamiya Acrylic Thinner(which I use most of the time with no problems) and airbrushed it on. So what do I get, a gloss finish! I have used the Tamiya thinner with other MM Acrylics and no problem. Is it possible the flat clear and thinner don't work well together?

Just wondering?

That's odd. I've used MM flat clear plenty before. I thin with isopropyl alchohol though.

I too use MM flat clear. Thin it with regular paint thinner and have never had a problem with it.

Did you stir or shake it well before you used it?The matting agent settles out fairly quickly.

Yeah, you've got to have that stuff seriously mixed for it to dry really flat. Shoot it unthinned, too.
