I am looking for a good Panzer III that was typically found in the Afrika Korps. Cyberhobby has a PzkfwIII G. Is this a good kit or is there a better one. I know Cyberhobby sometimes has older kits with some issues. Thanks ahead of time.

While that is an older kit, it can be built up to a fine replica with patience and TLC.
DML has another more modern kit of a DAK Pz III that looks real good to me. Problem is the kit # escapes me now. .
Pain meds doncha know .........

The orange box releases are the repops of older kits. That said however, the Panzer III's are the old Imperial kits I believe which are still pretty good even if a little bit dated. The kit you are looking at isn't a bad way to go, and can really shine with some AM and good skills. It's based off of the old 9032 kit if I'm not mistaken.

G: Were you thinking of the 6642 kit? It's and Ausf.H, but is appropriate for DAK.

G.;
Hi!
Also not a "G" (nor an H) tank, but... The Dragon III-J kit 6394 is super nice, offers many options with and without spaced armor and the L/42 and L/60 5cm guns. And it offers at least two (2) versions with Africa markings (Tobruk and Tunisia tanks) right from the box. At least one of these comes "legit" with the spaced-armor array.
Cheers!
Bob

Most people don't think about the J when it comes to DAK, probably because it was overshadowed by newer tanks.
Either way you go Greg, the new Dragon H and J kits are good stuff

If you are patient and willing to wait a bit, DML has also announced a Smart Kit Pzkpfw III-G kit for sometime in the next few months. The Imperial Series kit which the CH Orange Box is based off of will require some work in the detail department and only received a Magic Track upgrade when the Orange Box was created.
Pz III Gs, Hs, Js, Ls (really just the L/60-gunned J) and Ns all served in the N. Africa theater depending on the timeframe/unit you're looking to build/represent with your particular project.
